Getting my COVID-19 Vaccination

I’m still not 100% why I was given then opportunity to have the vaccine now, all I know is the NHS contacted me and said experts had decided that I now needed to be vaccinated. It just didn’t specify exactly why.

I initially felt guilty – all I could think was that others need it more than I do right now, I can wait. But friends reminded me that it was the NHS who contacted me at the end of the day, something in my medical history must have triggered it.

Either way, i wasn’t going to pass it up, so I booked in for my appointment to get dose one of the vaccine!

The day arrived and I felt I needed a hearty breakfast but I couldn’t be bothered to make something gift scratch. So I didn’t something we rarely do in our house and cooked up some ready made things! I used Bonsan plant-based Kofu Grill Sausages with their Tomato and Lupin Spread on Bfree Wholegrain Sourdough bread which I can only ever find in Sainsbury’s.

Check out my my REEL:

Set up with a hearty breakfast I decided to walk to the vaccination centre, meaning I’d have to walk back too and have an excuse to stop for takeout coffee and cake in the city, win!

I also thought it would be helpful for others to hear about what it’s like to actually get the vaccine and perhaps ease anyone’s anxiety. So I made a video about my experience getting the vaccine!
